Effective November 1, 2007; Mortgage Recording Tax increase for Dutchess County

Please be advised that effective November 1, 2007 the mortgage tax rate in Dutchess County will increase from the current rate of $1.05 to the new rate of $1.30 for each one hundred dollars of principal indebtedness or obligation and each remaining major fraction thereof secured.

The new rate will apply to all mortgages presented for recording on or after the effective date of the increase regardless of when they closed.
