All checks that would normally be made payable to the County Clerk, should now be made payable to SMPR Title Agency, Inc.

The health of our community – our employees, our customers, our vendors, and our colleagues in the County Clerk’s Office – is of paramount importance.  SMPR has taken many proactive steps to help protect our community and we are continuing to evaluate our practices to continue serving the needs of our customers while protecting the health and well being of our employees, our vendors, and our colleagues.

With this in mind, effective immediately, SMPR has made the decision to limit interactions with our employees and our colleagues in the Clerk’s Office and will be implementing e-Recording in the following counties:

Albany, Bronx, Broome, Cattaragus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Genesee, Hamilton, Jefferson, Kings, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Nassau, New York, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, St. Lawrence, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Westchester.

All checks that would normally be made payable to the County Clerk, should now be made payable to SMPR Title Agency, Inc.

We are confident in our ability to serve our customers’ needs through these methods while still providing a safe working environment for our employees and our colleagues in the County Clerk’s Offices.
